Ghost is a Swedish hard rock band known for their face-covering performance costumes. The band was founded in 2006 in Linköping.
The band’s lead singer Tobias Forge has performed in the Pope’s outfit since its inception, but in 2018 the character changed to Cardinal Copia, after which he has been seen dressed as a cardinal. The other members of the band are called “Nameless Ghouls,” and they wear fairly similar performance costumes and masks. Tobias Forge's earlier pope figures were called Papa Emeritus I, Papa Emeritus II and Papa Emeritus III.
